2026 Conference Paper Sheet - Front.pdfSally and I were able to attend our first conference with SCBWI. We spent a great weekend meeting new friends and networking. There are support systems for indie publishers like Besties! It was a full day of finding breakout sessions, discussion panels, viewing an illustrators gallery, and much more!

Don Tate, a well known author and illustrator, was the keynote speaker. It was so much fun listening to how a shy young boy became confident enough to follow his dreams!
A session that focused on important concepts when self-publishing. The conference was very informative and we look forward to learning more!
